"Imagination is more important than knowledge… Imagination encircles the world." ~ Albert Einstein
What’s more important: what you see, or how you see it?
How vital is what you’re told, versus how you dream what you believe into being?
In these times, there’s much at stake.
There are many conflicting opinions—so much of them angry and hostile, flying at us from various direction. We must pick a side, those voices insist, and jump onto one train of trending thought or another.
And then there’s you…
What do you hold most dear, think most about, want most to make happen?
How do you answer the call to imagine a better world for all?
Seeing differently is the beating heart of my RISE series. Each post encourages you to pause and linger and know your intention for the choices you make.
Consider for example this simple tulip captured on a chilly spring morning.
The whole flower isn’t there. As I worked in the field, falling in love with a perfect bloom, it occurred to me that “all” wasn’t needed.
My focus was drawn to the light reflected by vibrant, thriving color. I found hope in the simplicity of a few petals, creatively framed. A curve or two of orange and green suggested an entire garden, and that was my siren’s call. I settled into healing thoughts of how much could blossom from so very little, if the work began with an open, receiving heart.
My imagination ran wild as I created this image.
May yours be set free as it’s viewed.
May one fleeting moment of simple pleasure ignite a passion for community and nurturing that will encircle the world.
