“God Light” captures FIRST PLACE!
I’m excited to share that my “God Light” placed first in the Changing Seasons category at this year’s
Atlanta Botanical Gardens 2022 Flower Show: Metamorphosis.
117 images were juried into this national show, hosted by the Garden Club of America.
Capturing this image was such a special, personally healing moment for me, I was thrilled for the opportunity for others to share it. Taking the top prize in my category was icing on the cake!

On a late autumn morning, heavenly fog and lemony sunlight cast
their ethereal glow across a Cade’s Cove valley—
trees vibrantly fading and newly leafless called for me
to see beyond the challenges of change and loss,
and to embrace instead each new beginning to come.
