I searched for a bird’s eye view yesterday, imagining myself soaring high, smelling the sweet, sweet perfume of a magnificent Japanese Magnolia blooming too early to last long.
Each is a three-image focus stack.
For my techie followers, shot with a Nikon D810, and a Tamrom 180mm, f/3.5 macro lens; processed in Lightroom and Photoshop CC, with touches of Nik Color Efex Pro and Viveza.
For those who simply long to dream, yesterday was a gift. It took hours to grab a few acceptable series. Wind rifling fragile petals made capturing sets of identical images, save focal point, tedious and far more time-consuming than should have been worth the effort. Except I relished every moment.
It was heaven to me on a day when I so desperately needed light and love and simple beauty…
